Senior Business Analyst for Actuarial department

Directly attached to the Central Europe Chief Actuary you will be responsible for the area of development of new system functionalities for actuarial department of Central Europe (6 countries) and for the data management belonging to area of actuarial matters.

You will need to understand actuarial requests, transform them into business requirements understandable for IT community and to perform follow-up of these requests from development phase to overtaking by actuarial community.

Your communication and language skills are important because you will cooperate closely with many back office functions (especially IT community) and with colleagues in various countries.

Furthermore you will manage a Junior Business Analyst directly attached to you.

You will also participate to regional actuarial projects related to system evolution.

 

The role covers following activities

  • Formulation of actuarial requests on development of new system functionalities / tools into business requirements
  • Analyses of current system & process set-up targeting efficiency gains
  • Definition of user tests for new functionalities and their evaluation
  • Support of local actuarial teams in migration process to new functionalities
  • Follow-up development phase (interaction with developers)
  • Actuarial Tools maintenance
  • Key intermediation role between actuarial team and back office teams (especially IT)

 

We require

  • Degree in economics, statistics or actuarial science with strong knowledge in IT and computer science or degree in IT/Computer science with experience in insurance industry (basic actuarial knowledge would be a strong advantage)
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience
  • Basic knowledge of project management
  • Experience with development of actuarial systems and data quality projects is an advantage
  • Advanced English both spoken and written
  • Strong logical and analytical skills
  • Problem solving skills with capacities of decision making
  • Creative and practical thinking
  • Advanced communication skills
